How to Choose a Custom LED Glow Stick Shape for a Concert Tour

A custom LED glow stick must feel right in a fan’s hand and still read in a camera shot. A thumbnail will not show whether a thumb covers the logo. Pass a real sample around before production.

Begin with the handout moment

Where does the fan get it? Staff might hand it out at the gate, leave it on a seat, or sell it with tour merchandise. Note whether fans keep it or return it.

A broad panel gives artwork more room. A slimmer body may be easier to hold in a standing crowd. Let several people hold the sample for the planned cue. See where their fingers settle and which way the printed face points.

Print the outline at full size

Print the outline at real size and place the logo inside the usable area. Check small lettering, sponsor marks, and the clear space between them. Turn the paper to the angle a fan will probably hold it.

Put control and artwork on one brief

Keep the shell and control choice in one brief. Manual operation may suit a souvenir. A synchronized cue needs the chosen control function and one named tester.

Next to the artwork, write when the light appears, which color reference applies, and what fans can do before or after the cue. The team can judge the object as it will be used, not as an empty shell.

Compare samples where they will be seen

Put the samples side by side. Photograph each one unlit and lit from the audience and camera positions. Record the model, artwork method, control mode, packing request, and changes agreed after the test.

Send the approved sample with the tour

Sign and date the chosen sample. Production, merchandise, and the supplier should use the same artwork revision and model name. Keep it with the receiving record so another venue can compare the delivery with something physical.

Before the bulk order, confirm individual packing, carton details, labeling, and the final artwork area. At the next stop, the crew only needs to answer one question: is this the item we approved?
