Longstar Pixel Control Wristbands for Custom Crowd Displays

Two wristbands can share a housing and still produce very different audience effects. Longstar’s new pixel control system gives each wristband its own numbered position in a programmed display. For teams planning text or patterns across seated audiences, that changes both the show design and the preparation.

Control follows the individual wristband

Our DMX remote-control setup sends shared cues to the whole audience or selected zones. It supports synchronized colors and flashing, with audio, manual remote and DMX operating modes. Our pixel control LED wristbands receive commands for their individual IDs through a computer and base station. Neighboring seats can display different colors within one image.

The distinction starts inside the product. Different chips and command-handling logic support these two control methods, even when the casing looks identical. A familiar exterior therefore doesn’t establish which system a band can use. The wristbands and control equipment need to be specified together.

The seat plan becomes a pixel map

Computer software sets the colors and effect sequence on a timeline, then sends instructions through the base station. Each wristband ID corresponds to a seat and a position in the image. This arrangement supports text, patterns and simple animations across the mapped audience area.

Our current system guide specifies 5,000 wristbands per pixel-control base station. It lists up to 50,000 bands per DMX remote controller, with up to 20 zones. These figures describe our two configurations; they aren’t general limits of DMX technology. The useful distinction is how finely the show needs to control the audience image.

The seat layout is part of that image. After programming and ID mapping, each band must go to its assigned seat. A misplaced band puts its color in the wrong location and can disrupt a letter or pattern. Effects depend on both the software program and accurate placement.

Manufacturing behind the finished band

Longstar manufactures LED event products in Dongguan, China. Our own SMT workshop and assembly lines support custom bulk production, bringing electronics assembly and finished-product assembly into the same operation. A pixel-control project needs receiver electronics suited to its control system, even when it uses a familiar wristband shape.

Customization includes the control brief

We support OEM and ODM work, including requests for a new design or specific control functions. Depending on the model, branding can include printed logos, housing or strap color choices, lighting effects and packaging. The artwork on the wristband and the programmed audience pattern can serve the same event theme.

For a custom project, share the intended crowd image and seat layout alongside the product artwork. Our team can review the required control functions with the physical design. Available options depend on the selected wristband model and project scope.
